?Life throws twists and turns, you never know how it will turn out.? Sara can not remember how many times she had said that.
?What is on you mind?? Gil asked her.
?I was just thinking about how different my life turned out,? she told him.
?Different good, I hope,? he said sitting next to her.
She lay her head on his shoulder, ?Yes. I never imagined being married and having my own family. Look at us, five beautiful children, I can?t see how anything could be better.?
Gil had to agree with her, things were near perfect.
Daniel was 18 had just graduated high school, because of his high IQ he had his choice of almost any collage he wanted. He picked the one that offered the best classes in his chosen field, entomology.
The older he got the happier he was that Tina was around, they have been dating for 4 years and plan to marry after he finishes school. Tina had decided to take up nursing.
Beth is 14 and just starting high school, she already knows what she wants to do with her life. She had spoken to Jim who talked to a friend of his. Beth wants to be an animal cop. She has acquired her mothers love for animals. ?I want to put the people behind bars that hurt the animals. I want to be part of the team that rescues them,? she had told her mother.
John and Joel are 12. John is fairly sure he wants to be a CSI like Daddy and Mommy. Joel wants to be a teacher, not in a regular school, one that teaches deaf children. ?Not everyone can have my operation,? he had told his dad, ?Those are the ones I want to teach.?
Sara did get her little lady. Lacy is 10 now and all girl.
She and Beth fight all the time because Lacy thinks that Beth acts ?More like her brother then her sister.? Lacy even calls her Buster, when Momma and Daddy are not around.
Gil had decided to retire and take up full time teaching.
Jim and Annie moved back to Jersey after he retired.
Nick took the graves supervisor spot and Sophia was promoted to captain and took Jim?s place.
Austin, who is Lacy?s age, can think of nothing but wanting to fly a plane when he is big enough. Nick is sure he will either go in the military or become a commercial pilot.
Warrick took the swing supervisor job and Catherine took Ecklies.
Ecklie was discharged after he was found guilty of making sexual advances against another one of the lab employee?s.
It was rumored that it was a man, no one would ever say. Sara knew that Gil knew - she just never asked.
Candy has developed a crush and John, but they are both to young for their parents to worry about it, or they think anyway.
