Even though Grissom got more time, the other characters got a lot in both episodes.

True - and and that was the 'ensemble' style they used in those days - unlike recent seasons.

Did you do the screen time for the premiere, CgrGrl?

Yup, I did, it was right before the old episodes.  It wasn't earth shattering...all DB and not much else.

Thank you!! It seemed like Brass was in there more than that; maybe it is because he had such great lines

When Brass is on the screen, he steals it from everyone.

Not much of a surprise there.  Figured the newbies would get the largest roles.

Screen Time for Frame by Frame -

Super, Henry, Mitch - 1
Catherine, Doc, Morgan - 2
Brass - 4
Hodges - 5
Finn - 8
Ecklie - 10
DB - 11
Greg - 14
Sara - 19
The end showed a smidge of all of them.  Imagine my shock when I saw both Warrick and Nick, the two characters played by the actors that TPTB hate.

Too bad they didn't give Brass more time - he should have had more than Finn and Hodges.

CgrGrl - I sometimes think tptb hate all of the original cast and would like to get rid of them.

I sometimes think the exact same thing.

CgrGrl, I was (at least) half expecting you to put 'Nick - 0' for these episodes.  ;)

For at least some of them (possibly most of them!) they just don't seem to know how to write for an established, long time character that they didn't develop.

This is definitely true for Brass.  They haven't figured out what to do with him since Grissom left.  I still can't believe Ecklie got more screen time than Brass (well, I can but for this particular episode, I can't).  I liked the sheriff better when he was practically invisible and I liked Ecklie better when he was a jerk.
