As Grissom once put it in some early season episode (which I'm too lazy to search for!  ;)) he has 'his rollercoasters and Catherine has her kid'.

Birds, Nick likes Birds.  Well, he did, but that's a long forgotten personality trait.
Really? I forgot about that...somehow I thought he was afraid of birds?? Hahaha...how long ago was that?
3x07 - Fight Night

He tells Grissom about the 'Night of the Pifflings'.  Grissom responds with something about Nick watching too much television.  Nick asks (I paraphrase) 'How come you talk about bugs and you're a genius, I talk about birds and I watch too much television?'

Susan, that episode was Too Tough to Die when he was telling Sara she needed to get something outside of work or she'd burn out.  So with him where ever he is, she still doesn't seem to have anything outside of work aside from what is probably a daily phone (or skype) call.

Nicky also went on and on to Warrick about Humming Birds once.  He was soooo cute!

LOL! How could I forget that?? I loved that scene and it was such a true comment that Nick made. Always makes me wonder if they had talked later on about Nick's love of birds

My all time favorite Nick comeback at Grissom was in Caged (the man with Autism Spectrum)---Grissom explaining to Nick that he thought the man was Asperger's and went on to describe some characteristics of Asperger's--essentially a high functioning autistic--Nick came back with "just like you" or something to that effect.  Loved it!

Good breakdown.  As we've all said, nice to see Greg for a change.  Also to see Nick up there at the top.  Would have liked more Brass and less Morgan but since Brass hasn't been around much at least there was more of him than we've been getting.

I was actually surprised at the Nicky time.  I thought it was less but his scenes, although few, were long.

Nick's time on the screen is quality time.  It is not there to fill the air.

With Nick getting such good screen time lately I wonder if it signifies that DB won't be there next season and Nick will become supervisor???

I have wondered if they will move Nick in the direction of detective, sort of take Brass' place? Or move DB up to supervisor for the entire lab (didn't Ecklie have that job?) and put Nick as grave supervisor.

But I think the show writers have forgotten CSI works graveyard shift.

Pretty obvious why DB had the most screen time.  Good to see Brass in a major part again.
