Thanks to Billyjorja I have found several story's that I had posted on the old CBS Boards, I am putting them here. I hope you read them, if you had read them before the I hope you enjoy rereading them.
The alarm was about to go off, Grissom reached over and turned it off before it did. He had not been sleeping well lately. He just could not get used to sleeping in the king bed without her next to him.
He sat on the side of the bed; Hank put his head on Grissoms leg. ?You miss her too, don?t you boy.? He patted the dogs head and went off to the kitchen. After feeding the dog and downing a cup of coffee Gil headed to the lab.
The lab was empty when he got there, just the way he liked it. Sitting down at the desk, his mind started to bring him back. Back nine years ago when he first seen Sara Sidle, the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. Her smile melted his heart, and he was in love.
But he also knew there was not a chance she could feel the same way. Then he remembered the way his heart jumped again when she came to work with them on the team. She was so close but so far away. At lest he could see her and be near her.
As the years passed his love for her grew. He tried to hide it, even dated other women, but Sara was the only one he ever wanted, the only one he loved.
Then his mind brought him back that day two years ago. To the day that would change his life. He was sitting talking to Jim Brass when Jim said, ?Gil look. I know this is not my place but why don?t you just tell her how you feel?? ?Tell who ? what?? was all Gil could say.
?Don?t be foolish, Gil. Tell Sara you love her. Anyone with eyes can tell you are crazy about her, the expression on your face when you see her.? Gil just sat there, ?I am afraid ? afraid it will scare her off and I will never see her again.? Jim just shook his head, ?You will lose her to someone else if you don?t tell her.?
Later that evening he asked Sara to dinner. They talked about everything. To his surprise Sara confessed her love for him and her fear that he would not feel the same way.
And their first night together, and how great it was to feel her body next to his. And he remembered how happy he was when she moved into his place. He knew that every time he was in bed; she would be there too, loving him and being his.
They decided to keep it a secret so Sara kept her place. Two years ? two beautiful years together. Then his mind brought him to that day when he thought Sara was gone forever.
Kidnapped and trapped under a car. He searched for her, every minute fearing the worst and praying for the best. His heart almost stopped when they found that body, it was not her, but where was she?
And the overwhelming joy when she opened her eyes and smiled a painful smile at him. Life could not get any better then this he thought. That was until the day he asked her to be his wife and she said yes.
Then his mind remembered the pain and confusion as she seemed to drift away. And the shock when she kissed him in front of everyone, then the letter that explained it all. That was two months ago.
?Boss, you going to wake up?? Grissom opened his eyes and seen the team standing there. ?Oh yes, was just thinking, here are your assignments for tonight.?
Nick stepped forward, ?Well before you do there is something. Ecklie said it was time we got some more help, what with Sara gone.? Replace Sara! Grissom could never do that.
?Well we have all worked with her before, I think you will approve.? Then Grissom heard the voice of an angel. ?I made a promise and I am back to keep it, that is if you still want me as your wife??
Before he could say anything Sara was in his arms. ?Yes,? he said. ?I love you and I need you.? As they kissed the team just smiled and walked away, closing the door behind them.
