This came to me after I heard the throw away line from Sara to Nick when she asked him if he liked Leather or Lace. I also had just been listening to a Stevie Nicks (Fleetwood Mac) song called Leather or Lace which is an all time favourite of mine.
Leather or Lace
The team have all gone to breakfast after shift. In the diner there is a TV on showing a music channel. Greg is bobbing up and down in his seat to the music. "Wow, look at that girl, I love girls dressed in leather and denim." The rest of the team just shrug their shoulders.
"Come on Warrick what do you like?" Greg says.
Warrick looks embarrassed. "Come on I told you what I like now it's your turn to spill the beans," Greg says clearly not wanting the the conversation to end.
"OK, I like girls who dress like girls, nice pants and top, nothing too revealing. I have a good imagination," he says sneaking a crafty look at Catherine.
"Now it's your turn Nicky, come on out with it," Greg says in a wheedling voice.
"I like girls who dress in skirts, not too short, not jeans. Their shirts have to be clingy but not too tight."
It's now Grissom's turn for the interrogation but, fortunately for him, his phone rings. It's Doc Robbins. "Sorry guys Doc needs me in autopsy will see you all next shift," he says the relief obvious in his voice. Before he left he heard Greg's next question.
"Shall we take this a little further, how do like YOUR girl to dress in private, when it is just you and her. I like them in liquid latex so I can peel it off," Greg says giggling like a schoolboy.
Warrick says, taking another sneaky look at Catherine, "I like them in a pink lacy bra and thong."
Nicky says "Purple La Perla underwear for my girl."
Catherine and Sara are just sitting there giggling away. "Will they ever grow up?" Sara says. "Doubt it," comes from Catherine.
What a pity Grissom got that phone call, I was really looking forward to hearing what he had to say," Warrick says.
"Don't think it would have been very interesting," Cath says. "Bet he is more interested in what colour the wings are on his butterflies than what a women is wearing publically or privately. What do you think Sara?"
"I don't really have any opinion on what any man likes his girlfriend, lover or wife to wear. He is the one looking at them so what he likes is all that matters." Sara says.
"Wow, glad I'm not going out with you, your are so cynical" Greg says laughing.
After they finish breakfast they all go home to sleep so they are ready for the next shift.
On her way home Sara takes a phone call. "Will be a little late darling, have something to do first," a man's voice says. "Ok, will see you later, love you." is Sara's reply.
Half an hour later Sara hears the door opening and a man's voice saying, "Sara where are you?" "In the kitchen, do you want a coffee," "Yes please."
Sara walks into the living room with two cups of coffee. "Where have you been, I've missed you." "Just had to pick up a present for you," he says handing her a bag.
Sara opens the bag and looks at the man, "There is nothing in it!" "Really!" says the man. "What's all this about darling, did you forget to put the present in the bag." "No," says the man.
"You say you have a present for me then you give me a bag with nothing in it," Sara says puzzled. "Remember the question at the diner, well I 'bought' you what I like to see you wearing when we are alone, NOTHING. I love you Sara Grissom." "I love you Gilbert Grissom."
What the team did not know was that Gil and Sara had been together for two years and married for one. It is their secret and they intend keeping it that way.
